Vision Plus 11 is the eleventh in a series of innovative symposia on information design building upon each other. Former conferences took place in Austria, Great Britain, Japan and the USA.
"If you don't understand it, don't design it."
To facilitate understanding the information designer needs to acquaint herself/himself with complex subject matters. Subject matters with real challenges and above average rewards.
Vision Plus 11 will focus on the development on information design as a distinct profession and area of expertise. The symposium will be carried by the IIID Board Members and invited speakers, who will discuss the development of information design subject areas.
Vision Plus 11 aims at fostering international expert networks and conceiving educational units for a planned information design university under UNESCO patronage.
The expert networks aim at improving the systematic exchange of information and the forging of links between individuals and teams who share a common theme. Similar to networks of excellence they bring together a critical mass of experts - researchers, developers and designers - to advance towards common strategic goals and to compile a body of knowledge also relevant for the contents to be developed for the curriculum of the IIID Information Design University.
